Sanmi is a Co-founder and the Chief Operations Officer at ImaliPay. He has over 18 years of experience having worked in Telecoms, Energy, and Fintech, gaining vast expertise in Commercial Operations Management. Sanmi worked at Telco giant MTN where he handled Trade Marketing, covering several regions within South-West Nigeria. He also worked at Samsung West Africa as Hub Manager for South-West Nigeria as well as at Cellulant, where he was the Chief Commercial Officer and also a member of the group management team contributing to the growth of the business within the Cellulant group, particularly Nigeria. Sanmi is the Co-founder of ImaliPay, a Fintech-as-a-service (FaaS) platform for Africa’s digital businesses and marketplaces. Today, Imalipay is operational in South Africa, Kenya, and Nigeria. In 2021 ImaliPay was selected as a winner of the Black Founders Fund by Google, In 2022 recognized at Viva Technology (Paris, France) as one of the top 3 most promising Fintech startups in Africa. and this year 2023, ImaliPay was honoured to be recognized as one of the Top 10 out of 150 startups across Africa chosen by the board of investors at the Stitch early-stage startup showcase in Cape Town,
South Africa.
